Receipt contents are end-to-end encrypted before they reach Cheqi. The core routing service delivers the encrypted data without reading what was bought.
- Encryption happens at the source, before upload.

- A browser receipt’s key stays in its link fragment, outside the backend.

A connection issue or service outage can happen. Your checkout can still hand over a secure receipt link and complete the encrypted upload after recovery.
